still of moment

I had not thought about Salvador Dali in a long time. I studied him ravenously when I was younger. I ran across that quote where he says how awesome it is to wake up in the morning to be Salvador Dali with the prospect of doing Salvador Dali things all day. I had attained a few months of sobriety and I was right on that page. I was thinking how stunning it is to be able to wake up and be alive in your own skin, what a gift! I had experienced this great AA lecture where the speaker said "it is so amazing to just experience the moment right now, the present moment, really you guys, do you know how amazing it is to be able to just be here right now! It's mind blowing! It's totally mind blowing!" I think this piece reflects my celebration of being alive again post recovery and enjoying an old hero.
