This piece is a part of a series that explores the a pixel dragging capability of Photoshop. Anyone can use the motion blur filter in Photoshop and say "look, this is brilliant, I'm brilliant." I consciously go out of my way to makes something that is harder to reproduce. I use my personal experience and skill to set myself apart from anyone that employs a few simple tricks with a computer. In my early years of computer art, I made fractal like stuff and geometric patterns that other digital artists discovered as well. In this piece and all the ones after, I recognized that I had to come up with art that was not just a result of a few filters. That there had to be something about what I was doing that was personal. Moving forward I wanted to be sure that even if another expert in Photoshop knew more or less how I created something, that if they tried to use the same methods the result would not be of the same in quality.
